    While intializing Device IOS. Windows protection error

    While intializing Device IOS.
    Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.
    This occured after win95 setup was run. and during the first reboot during setup (before the time setup).

    Any clues anyone???????????????

    Machine upgrade...new DGI MB AMD K/6-2 400 and 32 Mb pc100 Ram
    new Aopen 40x CDrom

    original HD floppy sound video and modem
    Something else was here

    You need to download a patch from the AMD site or Microsoft site. This patch fixes synchronizing problem with AMD 350 and up CPUs and Win 95.

    Win 98 doesn't require the patch.
