You could have him/her download Nero, but they would have to purchase it after the 30 day trial.

XP burning software sucks. Twice as slow as a good 3rd party program (on my system), and nowhere near the options.
Show me how to burn an ISO, how about a mixed audio and data CD, or print a cover...

Reboot:
YOU ROCK!
I was skeptical about the program working with non sony cdrw's, but I installed it on a system with HP CDwriter and it recognized it without a problem. This gives me a nice option to install on built systems without using shareware or breaking the law. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My personal opinion is to tell them purchase the software. It's nothing like a licenced burning software.
That's why I hate the bulk parts.

KINGof, WinXP does NOT use Roxio 5.x, it uses it's own built in crap, designed by Roxio and sold and licensed to MS. It's a FAR CRY from EZCD5.x Pro. And my statement still stands, "Show me how to burn an ISO, how about a mixed audio and data CD, or print a cover..." using the built in software.
Sony CD Extreme is a full featured burning prog, it is free, and it works with just about every burner (IDE, I don't know about SCSI) on the market. Nothing to purchase. For your average burning use, it's as good (or better) than EZCD 4.x, but not quite as good as Nero...but it is free...

Thanks ReBoot. I don't see any license on this software and it works great!

I'll second the notion just to go and buy some software.
Hell, is someone so cheap that they cant afford $15 for software?
After using all sorts of free Win32 applications, I can pretty safely say, I wouldnt bother again. Most have had some form of problems, with no support, etc..etc.. (you get what you pay for, people..)
just my 0.2c
