Resolved [RESOLVED] CPU ID question and proper settings

What speed of pentium is this chip?

Here are the numbers under the CPU:

    E5193973CD

    A4

    A80502-100

    SX970/VMS

Also, what is the difference in setting a PCI Clk at /3 or /4?

What is the CPU clk level?

Thank you again for any help given

What are the proper settings for this chip?

    Cool

Try this site. It may help you out....
Is it safe to assume this is an Intel chip??

I'm not sure that damned angel is right. What type of socket is it in (socket 5,7,370, etc.). Does it say pentium on the chip? If it isn't in a socket 5,7, or 370 board, then it may be a 486 DX4 100Mhz, but I doubt that is the case.

The /3 /4 pci clk setting is to determine the pci bus speed. The PCI bus should normally run at 33MHz. It is determined by dividing the cpu bus speed by a constant (that's the 3 or 4). If the cpu bus speed is 66MHz (as is the case for pii and celerons and most of the early socket 7 pentiums) it should be set to "/2". 66/2 = 33. If the cpu bus is 100MHz (early piii's), set it to "/3." If it is a 133MHz bus (most recent piii's) then use "/4."

I have confirmation that it is an intel chip.

What settings should I set the motherboard to in terms of PCI clk timing....is it /3 or /4?

Also, What is the CPU clk level? Choices here are either 5 V or 3.3 V

It also has a CPU voltage jumper that's already set to 3.3 volts.
