    Post PII or PIII?

Someone I know wants to buy a CPU.
    He can't decide between PII-450 and PIII-450.
He doesn't care about the money. All he want's is a powerful CPU. His motherboard supports both.
My opinion is buying a PII.

What's the difference among them? Is PIII worth it??

    Any replies would be welcome...

    Thank you all in advance.

I went from a PII 450 to a PIII 500 and found very little difference in processing with basic computing, but it seemed to help improve my internet download speed. If your customer is working with a voice recognition program it will help tremendously. It probably helps with other programs, but these are my only findings so far.
An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

as the PIII 450 is not much more than the PII 450 , it would make sense to go for the PIII
