Copy HD 2 new HD?
If my memory servers me right, (which I doubt)LOL
Can't I just do a clean boot to dos and copy one HD to another HD then switch the HD's to master slave.
Isn't that command something like C:>COPY32 *.* E:
That should copy everything over to the new drive?

xcopy32 c:\*.* d:\ /s/e/v
should do the trick.
Norton Ghost is my choice though. Ver7 even does NTFS.

most HD makers have utilities on their websites that copy old drives to new.
in many cases (if you bought a retail box HD) the utility is on the install disk.
be careful with xcopy...it will destroy long filenames.

In such cases, I use Norton Ghost.
The Disk-To-Disk feature does the job.

Exactly.
Are you trying to copy an NTFS partition/drive? if so you will need to get a copy of Ghost 7. Either way Ghost is the most effective way of copying drives/partitions. If you could tell us where you are getting hung, we can walk you through the problem.

Start/Run - XCOPY C:\ D:\/h/i/c/k/e/r/y/s
This has been mentioned as a good drive to drive copy command by techs on this site before, have`nt tried it myself but I`m sure it should work for you.
