Desperately seeking a Dell CD Driver
I bought a secondhand Dell P/N 89314 CD Rom for my old Laptop Dell Latitude XPI P75. The trouble is it came with no drivers or installation disk.
The computer does not recognise the cd rom or even its plugged into its Parallel Port.
Does anyone know where i can get the installation disk download or drivers? I looked everywhere on the Dell Site.
thanks

First, I went here to find out that your Dell P/N 89314 is for a "Dell Latitude CP 24x CD-ROM Variable Internal/External", Model No. 3139T. Then, I went here to find the DOS drivers for that particular Dell Latitude model. Download the file entitled "DOS-CDR.EXE" and you should be good to go.
I hope this helps...

Try booting to a command prompt only, or exiting windows to a command prompt. Then run the install Exe.
