    Post Gigabyte MoBo

I just bought a new Gigabyte MoBo for my new P4 system. I put everything together...No POST. Lights and fans come on, no HD, No Floppy, No video (ATI AGP CARD). Checked all the Jumpers, settings Etc. Hard drive and Vid Card are Known Good. New Memory that came with Chip in Retail Box. Anyone have any suggestions ? I am guessing Bad Board.

Yeha I already tried that, I am at wits end, Guess I will send the board back. I was hoping to be up and running this past weekend with my new "killer" machine.

Gigabyte only likes to have memory in dimm slot 3, not 1. It won't post otherwise. Annoying, frusterating and not documented.
Other than that..it's a decent board.

Hope this does the trick for you!

I will try that, the Board says it must have the blank type CRIMMS installed in the open slots. I tried it both ways though. I have 2 64 chips, so it will suck if I can only use one chip in slot three. I will let ya know tomorrow, it's worth a try.

Just to let ya know, nothing works. The board is going back in exchange for a nice Intel board.

We are using the Giga-Byte GA-8TX as our PIV, solution. We have had no problems with it. Are you using a PIV style power supply?

    I love Intel boards.
