RAM Prices
So whatcha think of current ram prices? I am thinking of selling on of my PC133 128s and buying a car if it keeps going up like it has been for the last two weeks...

It's only going to get worse in the next few months. With Taiwan's earthquake incident, production on many computer parts including RAM are going to be in real shortage. We will definitely feel the pinch closer to Xmas and prices will rise. Expect for price drops around spring next year.

Yep, it's true.
If you want to buy a car, sell some 128 dimms. Be very carefull. If you can wait, don't buy ram. If you can't, find the most cheap ones, after a long search and grab them!
They gonna be more expensive, due to the earthquake in Taiwan. Be very carefull, all of you.

over last couple of weeks made mind up to add
extra 128mb.price then £90 - £110 now £270 and probably rising.going to forget it.
ps ihave got some 16kb sinclair zx81 memory
i must be worth a fortune.

Memory prices were up 300% before the earthquake. Now they are going up more.
It is because of a couple things. with AMD going 200Mhz, and Intel going RAMBUS, The memory manufacturers are gearing up to buy all new equipment one way or the other.
And the glut of PC100 is over.
