clearing the I.E. address bar
Win98se
I notice that after cleaning up all the
temp files, cache, history, and other misc internet junk the address bar seems to still hold addresses. For example, you start typing
in an address and after typing several letters the whole address line appears below you, ready to select.
Where is this info kept and how do you delete it?

According to the directions going to Tools, Internet Options, General tab and clicking clear History should do it. It worked on mine so I'm not sure if this is how you were deleting your History or if I misunderstand your question.
There is also a Clear Forms button under the Content tab, Autocomplete button that I tried first so that may have been the difference. It is there that they instruct you to use Clear Histoy to remove the entries.
Computers follow your orders, not your intentions.
