Please help with this problem:
When i try to open or save a file in word 97 a strange visual basic message comes up: "compile error" member already exists in an object model from which this object model derived. There is a short page of visual basic program codes. I tried re installing word 97 but i am still having this problem. Could anyone one help???

If you haven't already, I would backup user documents and completely uninstall the entire MSOrifice Suite, including sifting through the registry to remove all references thereto. Chances are you've got a problem in your MS Shared files that are installed with Orifice or a bad pointer in the registry. Oh yeah-if you have a version of Visual Basic that's later than your Office97 you'll need to do the same with/it.
may the force be with you
