[RESOLVED] Scanner only works in safe mode

I'm trying to install a par port scanner for a customer, and I can only get it to work in safe mode. O/S is Win95a. I've reinstalled the drivers, and it works fine in safe mode, but gives me the error "scanner not connected" in normal mode. I've wiped the autoexec.bat and config.sys files, took out all unneeded entries in win.ini and system.ini. No resource conflicts. I've tried both onboard par port and cards. Tried ECP/EPP/SPP modes with no luck. Please Help!!!!!

The fact that the scanner works in safe mode tells you that you have a conflict between the scanner drivers and something else that is running in standard mode. Move shortcuts from startup menu to another folder and put them back one at a time until you find the one causing the problem.

If the scanner is a Mustek, remove Microsoft Utilities from the startup (fastfind, osa, office toolbar etc)
