    30k+ users & the Members List would CRIPPLE the any server with CGI overheads.

    To get back on topic here,

    The MemberList would probably be the last straw for the UBB here. WD is actually on the threshold of needing to get UBB Threads (uses MySQL database, and is designed for larger boards). Does that explain why such the performance hit when we went to 6.1?
