    Resolved [RESOLVED] Microsoft Office Forum

I'd sure like to see you guys expand by adding a Microsoft Office forum. Then questions about Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., have a happy home...

I seem to think that it would be a good idea. Questions, easter egg(s), etc. But, I would separate Office 97 and Office 2000. Otherwise, it could lead to confusion when trying to help someone with something, then find out that you are giving instructions for the wrong version.

I agree about separating Office 97 and 2000. I just didn't want to get too pushy with the suggestion...

    Question

Just two forums, office 97 and office 2000??? I don't want to separate into components like word, outlook etc.. too many forums then.

Yeah, Office 97 and 2000 is enough. Don't break it down any further...

    What about a "Microsoft" forum??
It could include any Microsoft product. From IE to Office or Visio.

    There already is. Click here

BTW, how many of you guys surf the company forums? I think a lot of us who surf this area completely forget about the "second" forum

Most of the posts there are pretty pathetic ... like

"how can I upgrade my OAK video card to show more than 16 colors? I have the drivers from 1987"

    or

"how do I get my 7 year old tape drive to work with W2K?"

I check there once in a while to see if I can offer any assistance with some of the better known mfgrs. Or just tell the person they have a pile of junk and to upgrade.
