Please don't flame me for bringing this up cuz i do NOT want to start a flaming war here about the good or bad of free vs pay etc but, I'd pay a buck for a years subscription to this site. The content is worth it. I sometimes spend hours a day here in the forums. ..And with 4 million users, you'd be a happy man too.

If it was still just Scott owning the site then I would have no problems at all in paying a subs fee, but with Internet.com behind the site and a lot more of their fingers in other pies, I couldn't make a company who buys sites because of the amount of traffic and use that they get, any bigger or richer. Sorry Scott.

A quick one for Scott. What have Internet.com done for the site since they took over? As far as I can see nothing has changed apart from their banner on nearly every page.

If my money meant that Scott could buy the site back then I wouldn't hesitate in sending Scott a cheque.

Actually I'd be happy to pay for Windriver merchandise. To get a nice leather jacket with a cool Windrivers logo on it and a place for a custom embrodiered (sp?) avatar would be great - space for stars on the shoulder - announce "I am a Geek" to the rest of the world.
