None of the 'Real' PC sites are listed there such as Tomshardware, anandtech, sharky etc, and the only support sites that are there require you to pay for the help!!! Anyone noticed that they have AOHell listed Just goes to show what their writers really know Never did rate ZDnet or any of their magazines anyway!

Looks like a new top, oh say 50 Tech sites is in order, not pansy sites like AO-Hell or self-promoting sites like CNET or ZDNet Gamespot, and it needs to be non-biased.

These days it seems that ZDNet has got somewhat out of touch with the Tech world and relies on marketing hype and rumors.

Why don't we make our OWN top 50 or 100?
Someone could make a page to take nominations and then we could have a vote.
And it would be sites that are actually helpful or informational, chosen and evaluated by real techs.

It's weird the way you find out about the good sites... A computer geek on the local PBS TV channel was the one that I found out about Windrivers from. Quote "The best online place for drivers and technical help."

Gotta agree with earlier opinions...If your site doesn't generate big bucks for someone...forget about getting any notice.

The two best things about this site as far as I'm concerned are 1]the huge volume of great advice and tech suggestions, 2] with very limited and non-intrusive adverts.

Hey, Scott, to tell you the truth, I can't remember which one of the three PBS channels we get here in the Detroit area that I saw it on. Our local cable provides Chan 56 [Detroit], 21 [Toledo, I think] and one from the Flint area [don't know the number.] It might even have been on one of those HGTV programs...My wife was the one that called my attention to the show.

It was one of those "PC half-hour" tutorials.

Sorry I can't be more specific, If I see it again [entirely possible], I'll write the particulars down and post for you.

    Hey you’re Holiness,

Over a year ago, Cnet plugged your sight [Windrivers] on its broadcast show; it was on a PBS ch10 in my area. This all happened before 911.com took control of your life or freed it, (I guess it depends on one's perspective.)

Nope, no big bucks, ever since the market tanked nobody is going IPO any more, which includes the original company I sold the site too.
