    Post My first mod

well have been working on this one on and off for about 3 weeks. OK ! QUESTION>>>> where can i get large ( 4 5 or 6 inches) AMD athlon, duron, k6 radioactive,or biohazard stickers for my new case. Had an old Gateway 2000 full tower at case laying around...... gutted it and realized that an atx board would bolt in fine... took the back panel out and sent it off with my friend who works at a machine shop to cut it to accept the ATX case.... got the system ( amd 450 392 meg ram 6 gig drive) up and running on Win 2000 and drew a nice size rounded triangle on it... went to the local NAPA auto parts store and got 4 red 12 volt lights. mounted them in there..... got an old led display out of an old computer and made it say 451.... mounted that inside..... 2 80 mm fans with grills for heat..... took it to my friends body shop today and cut the hole out with a cut off wheel... got it nice and straight and sanded it down to the metal with the DA sander..... 2 coats of self etching primer re scuff) .. and 2 coats of sealer....( rescuff ) and shot 3 coats of nugget yellow (1991 GM color) did the whole case and the keyboard shell... toped it all off with the 4th coat.... mixing 1/2 cup of Clear into the paint and the 5th coat. was straight Clear coat... it looks pretty good when i left. but then agian i was buxxing pretty good from not being around paint for about 5 years. ( I cant believe that i ever got used to working with that stuff everyday) i am going to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. hopefully it looks good..... i did get a small run in the left side of the front panel because the temp was dropping in the garage.... but its clear so i can sand that out and buff the whole thing.... all i have to do now is get a sheet of plexi and do the window and some chrome door edge molding for the cut hole..... and put that darn keyboard back together... il try to post some pics when its all back together..... one other ideathat i had that i wasn't sure about is, I am really good at drawing flames and love them...... well the inside of the case cover is painted too. i was thinking of getting a glue stick and drawing some flames on the inside wnd sprinkling them with red and gold glitter.... .... i thought that might look cool with the lights on it..... .... it isnt the greatest computer. but it will just be used to run a small UT server..... and mainly a conversation piece for my customers.....

For the stickers look at a local hospital.
They normaly have the BioHazard stickers all around and the RadioActive ones on the X-Ray and CT rooms.

    Thumbs up

I would go to Ebay. I found a large BioHazard for $5.00 total. Worth a shoot.

Here's some stickers/Badges. the 1"x1" kind (for the most part)
Some of them are pretty good and funny too.

here's another site for dome badges:

Which also have windows etchings that are pretty cool:

for large biohazard and radioactive stickers, you may want to try a medical/chemical supply company

    Most of these i found with a <a href="http://www.google.com" target="_blank">Google</a> Search

Search and see if you can find a friend that does vinyl signcutting - most can do these fairly easily in the sizes you are hunting.

A local print shop may be able to help you, they can probably do a laser print on the right kind of paper with adhesive backing. I would definately make sure it was exactally what I was after before actually sticking them on, though.

For biohazard or flammable stickers you can get them at truckstops. They use them on Semi trucks that haul radioactive material and explosives as a warning, they usually sell them there.
Its all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then its just fun in the dark.

nice Case mod. the green Paint and the blue "Fear This" go together very good. What did you use for the light inside of the case, To get it so bright?
