    Question AMD-K6 300MHz

    Hello Folks!
    I have a couple of MoBo Socket7 I can use and a K6-300MHz available.
Question: can I install this CPU even if the MoBo's manual doesn't say anything about supporting K6?
I figured, since the MoBo was old, they didn't know what a K6 was. But I still have some doubt.
The think is that I can set V-core, Bus Speed and Multiplier at the values that I want; so, I assume I just need to set them up following the specification of the CPU I want to install.

Can any1 help me with this dilemma? I am also willing to do some overclocking.

P.S. The MoBos I have are:
    - FIC PT2006
    - GibaByte GA-586T2 rev.12

(Right now I am using the 1st one with an Intel P1 MMX 166MHz, overclocked to 233MHz.)

THANK IN ADVANCE ALL OF YOU FOR THE HELP.

If the motherboard will allow you to set the clock & multiplier up to the necessary speed, then it should support the CPU with no problem.

Also make sure that it supports the Voltage for the K6......
