ASV133A vs A7M266
I like to use AMD1333 processor. I am debating between ASV133 and A7M. A7M is newer so I am guessing it should be better, ASV133A is $150 vs $220 for A7M. Is it worth it???

The second one is newer, so that's why it's more expensive than the older one.
I would check Asus site for more info about those two motherboards. Their characteristics, their compatibility and things like that.

If you're going ASUS. A7A266 would be the better choice, because it supports both SDRAM and DDRAM modules. If you have SDRAM already, your good to go. If you decide to upgrade to DDR, you have that option with this MB.

PS
$220 for an A7M266, is a rip off.
Hey man! Hand me that thing. Not that thing! The other thing!!! You know, the thing!!!

At this point I would personally go for the A7M266 if you do not mind spending the money on the DDR RAM. The AMD 760 chipset is quite mature at this point and the boards that I've seen run are very stable. I am personally running an A7V133 with my Athlon 900 mainly because I had PC133 SDRAM I did not want to ditch yet. It is a great platform as well but as memory bandwidth becomes more of an issue, the A7M266 will perform much better.
My brain went into standby mode and I can't get it to wake up, is there a BIOS patch for this?

I've heard of many instability issues with the A7A266 although these may have been resolved with BIOS patches. Also the ALi chipset on the board is not quite up to par performance wise with its VIA and AMD counterparts.

Check out the test reviews on these boards at http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/01q2/010509/
it will bring you up to date on the Ali chip set which rates high right now, just a little under the AMD 760 chipset, they did have some frezze up issues but they have been corrected with the new BIOS updates.
I'd go with A7A266, you can get it for $133 check Pricewatch.com.
