Depends what you want to use it for I used to sell those boards to people just starting to learn computers or for those just doing business apps like Word Perfect etc...
If that's you then It's a good Board for you.
I always recomend
I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

PC Chips boards are generally considered to be only slightly more advanced than algae

The board blows!
I have had bad experiences with them as a whole, and now avoid them like the plague.

I didn't want to imply that your board was goind to ruin your life - it may do just what you need. It has, however, been my experience that they are slower and less stable than other value boards.
Best of luck!

the shop i work at used to sell alot of systems with the PC-Chips/Amptron boards. i see at least one a week come back for some problem or another. they seem to run extremely slow and are quite unstable. i have since told my boss that i will not build a system with a PC-Chips/Amptron board. it might be a good idea to see if you can return the board and look for another one. for value systems i use MSI and Aopen boards, they are priced really resonable. i have also heard good things about FIC, AZZA and EPOX, both price and performance wise. just my two cents
take care and tempt not the fates

Yuk, PCChips. [Grabs mint], sorry always leaves a bad taste in my mouth, get rid of it, burn it, anything. Really, they are a BIG pain in the *** . Get an ABIT or an ASUS.
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up

The Board works pretty good. The only problem is the network. If I direct connect two computers, it works. If through three port hub I got, it no work. I might have to buy a new hub or switch that actually have a power adapter, the one I have is just a splitter. It runs at about 57 C and 136 F, is it too hot. I might have to buy two case fan, right now I only have a small case fan, it no help much.

Get a powered hub!
I would make sure that there is an intake fan in the front / bottom of the case and an equally sized exhaust fan on the rear / exit. That should give you a few degrees. I would also look at upgrading the fan on the processor if it is a "stock" fan. Check out www.coolermaster.com. 136 is on the high end, but O.K.. Is this at idle or under load?

At Idle from 131F - 137F, On UT from 137F-139F, 140F sometimes. I haven't got the Video Card I needed yet. I might also get an exhaust fan and put it under the Processor.
