Processor settings
Does anyone happen to remember the voltage settings for a P233-MMX? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
For that matter, is it common for BIOS to detect a 233 as a 166? I haven't worked on many systems in this range, and I am kinda stuck here.

the 233MMX runs @ 2.8v Dual Voltage (P55c).
Depends on thh chipset of the board as some of the early VX & HX boards only went upto 200Mhz.Try downloading a later BIOS revision for the board

Thanks! At least I know I'm not about to blow the chip now. Here's teh rest of the problem -- Person just bought the computer as a 233-mmx. System was very unstable -- random reboots, etc. I told the BIOS to auto detect the cpu, and it comes back with a 166-mmx, and the system is stable. Now, did I do something wrong, or is this lady headed to court with a computer store?
