How can I tell what type of processor chip I have by looking at the chip itself? It's a P3 chip but what type and speed?

I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.

You may want to try this freware called SDYSID. I found it very useful since it saves me time. If I am not mistaking you can find it on ZNET.COM. Let me know what do you think about it. <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">

If its a socket370 P3 then try one of the Asus CUSL2 series boards, if Slot1 then see if you can dig up an Asus P3V4X. Abit BE6-II would also be a great slot1 choice.
My brain went into standby mode and I can't get it to wake up, is there a BIOS patch for this?
