But the thing is I never heard of this spectra CPU's before. come someone tell me if the site has ther right cpu upgrade for me. and if not what do u guys suggest? Well, that one will work, but you're better off buying a true Intel processor, because it'll be cheaper.

I think all the Celerons over 800mhz have a 100mhz FSB-- your motherboard *might* support that but I wouldn't risk it, considering it's a Compaq computer. There are faster celerons..but then again it has a 100mhz FSB which your board might not support.

    go with a 766mhz Celeron 66mhz FSB at <a href="http://www.puicorp.com/" target="_blank">http://www.puicorp.com/</a>

Celeron's never turned to FC-PGA packaging until 533/566 so if you have a 466 (as it looks) it will be in the original PPGA package. The case could be that the board that ompaq used may not support any Celerons faster than 533mhz, so first I would find out exactly which board it is you have before buying a CPU or go with the Evergreen upgrade if you cannot upgrade to a FC-PGA CPU..

    766 @66 FSB....hmmmm wouldn't that require a multiplier of somewhere around 11???

Sounds a bit high to me...
