    Post O.S. Reinstall needed after CPU swap?

    I have a system (Asus P3V4X, Cel 533 on slotket, win 95.) If I pull the Celeron and install a P3 733, will I have to reinstall the O.S.? The mboard and slotket both support the P3 chip. Thank you....

    you will not have to reinstall....it will be transperant to the OS.

    Just to confirm, in case you want a second opinion, he's right. You need nothing new, not even a driver. The OS won't notice the difference.
