    Unhappy USB devices stop working

I'm using a USB keyboard and mouse, and after random periods of time, they will stop responding either for a few seconds, or totally. This can sometimes be fixed by unplugging and reattaching the device. However, this does not always work, and my usb keyboad/mouse will not respond or be recognized by windows, but the system will continue to run programs or operate normally besides that.
    I'm running Win98 SP-1, on a VIA chipset with K6-3/450
I heard there is a fix for WinSE for this problem? but nothing for normal windows?

    hello
have you tried the amd usb timing fix on the
    front page of windrivers(latest drivers)its
stated to be for w98se.logically though if w98se has trouble then w98 with sp1 must have same problem.
