    Question WTF is going on?!

Ok, this is a little bit weird, when I plug in a usb device, windoze detects it and everything is fine until I try to use it, then it becomes "undetected"

I know that it is not the device that I am using because I tried my scanner and my usb game pad.

The scanner freezes after I try to scan and the game pad freezes around 5 seconds after I press a button.

    I have an AZ11 motherboad

Try installing this, as it solves a hell of a lot of USB related problems.

just fixed the exact same problem with a scanner cutting out on an FIC AZ11 mobo. Download the latest bios, it actually states in the release that it fixes various USB issues with scanners/printers.

I've also seen some problems with this happening on underpowered USB ports which I fixed by using an external USB Hub with its own power supply.

I usually don't post to this forum (no reason...) but I do post to the mobo/bios forum - although my post this time is a bit mixed...

    Hope it helps you..

It's split topics like this one that make me very greatful to be running dual monitors. Nothing quite like being able to compare two threads at once full screen!
