Win2K Professional, AbitBp6, Dual cels, Linksys LNE100TX(ver 2.0).

As far as I can remember there was always a 'conflict flag' associated with
my USB controller (Intel 82371AB/EB PCI to USB). Here is the message..

"Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to
properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your
computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)"

So I proceeded to download the most recent bios from Abit.( ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/bios/bp6/bp6nj.exe )Updated my Bios. Confilct still exists.

On a potentially unrelated note, I tried installing my linksys card, with the most recent drivers, (ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/lne100w1.exe
ftp://ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/lne100w2.exe (yes, two separate files)
but to no avail. Btw, when I attempt to run a driver update (executable format) from the command prompt, it seems to read initially, and then the cursor skips to the middle of the command prompt, without writing anything.
There's still no change after 15 minutes. What does that sort of behavior imply?? Can it be attributed to my current conflicts??

I then tried relocating my network card to a different slot. Same result.
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions...??
