Good luck...NT does not support USB

If you search long enough you will find some hacked files to include USB support in NT4.
After applying them, expect uptime to hover somewhere around 20%, and do not think for a moment that the server can be considered reliable.
Moral: Don't buy USB devices and expect them to work on NT4.

Always glad to be of service
FYI, some Zip drives (USB) say on the box they support NT4. So I called their tech support and inquired as to what drivers to use. After about a week of this, they said "Well, the software supports NT4. Hardware problems are not our fault."
And then offered to give me a 100% refund on the drive I bought. After I told them I had not actually bought one, and was just curious as to how they planned to get USB working under NT4, they asked me not to call back.
Then about a month later, I got an email from IOMega Tech support stating that it was a typo on the box, and they actually just meant it supported NTFS, via DOS boot disk.
So I wrote back and asked what drivers to use on the boot disk so I would be able to see NTFS from DOS. They still haven't responded.

My browser does not show Triniphen's post in its entirety. I don't see the part which must say to be sure to post an answer if you don't know anything and be sure to insult Triniphen for asking such a dumb question.
Reward the MSopoly for lousy support of NT by buying W2K?-- I think NOT!

"Good luck...NT does not support USB"--DUH, already in Triniphen's post.
But, "If you search long enough you will find..."--- more useful information than that posted above.
Many people would sooner post, than think whether they add valueable information to a message board archive.
Me (19??-undead)
Triniphen: will try to drop you an email eventually (of old info), was @Windrivers looking for my own tech demons exorcism tools. The "REPLYS" to your post COMPELLED me to register.
2Not violate my own insult in regard to useless info:
Yes " ...certain.." UR ".. not the only one ...." ---with many users up same creek (others besides you use NT), THERE ARE 3rd party solutions.
My lists/info-notes are not recent, if you/&or I work out an updated listing (urls) of useful current solutions.....a NEW POST should be added so others seeking solutions don't click your post-link, only to read what they already know: that monopolysoft says "up y...up$grade to another piece of our s--oftware cause we ain't gonna add USB to NT."
