Gotta go home so I'll make it short...

Have you installed the USB update? if not you want to run the oemusb.exe cos the others that are on the 95b cd just run defrag and it's really frustrating...

Have you checked in the bios?? Is it disabled in there?

Sorry I've not time to give more detail.

Heres the link to the OEM USB site... http://www.windrivers.com/scripts/dr...oad/oemusb.exe run it from within Windows ,reboot , be sure USB is turned on in Bios settings and Windows should find it on boot-up.

I believe the only way to get USB to work in Win95b is to use the file USBSUPP.exe. Please refer to this thread where our resident supreme tech god speaks....

The link works OK. Bottom line is, install the USBSUPP.EXE file off the Win95 OEM SR2.x CD. I can't remember which path it's in, try doing a seach of the whole CD...

I remembered the opposite... I had to run OEMUSB.EXE to make the muthas work the other updates usually failed on me and wreck vmm32.vxd

When you install oemusb.exe it installs uhcd.sys to your windows system folder. Go into device manager usb properties and point there to update the driver. I've done it a few times, it always worked for me.

Just tried the link , it works fine ?? I've always used this to install USB , never was able to make the USB file on the CD work , not disputing Darren , if he says it does , it does , I just can't seem to figure it out and didn't waste much time trying.

That is the link to 4.03.1214 !! And yes the link does work , I just tried it again ,but maybe its picking up info from my internet cache , go to the Windrivers busmastering page and its the first item in the Intel file. I've never needed anything else to get the USB running ,be sure the USB support is switched on in your CMOS ,load the file from within Windows and reboot , should find the USB and hub without a problem.......thats should , not will !!

Be sure to check the system requirements on your camera. It may not work in 95b, only 98+.

Windows 95 USB support is minimal and leaves something to be desired of.

I think they really dropped the ball on that one...
