    Angry Problems installing a Gaming device

    When installing a microsoft sidewinder Strategic Commander. A file needed box appears. It is looking for the file "hidusb.sys". I can't find it anyware, It is not on the 2k or installation cds and i have searched my whole hard drive. I'm running win 2k. Can you help me

    The one on my system came with W2K-sp1. If you haven't already, try installing the service pack.

    Check your email. I sent a copy of mine but make sure you've installed the sp1 if you need to use it. It should be in your c:\winnt\system32\drivers folder.

    Thanks could you also send me hidparse.sys I don't have that file either. Should this work or will it cause problems , me using files that are given to me?

    Sent. As I said, as long as you are using the same version of Windows (W2K sp1) there shouldn't be any problems.
