USB 2.0 versus FireWire?
Correct me if I am wrong. Firewire maximum transfer is about 480 mb/s. USB 2.0 is about 40 times faster than USB 1.0 so that is about 480 mb/s? Is this so? What are the advantages for each? Which do you predict will become the standard on mainstream computers?

Firewire is 400mbps/sec
USB 2 is 480mbps/sec
Firewire 2 will be 800mbps/sec
ATA/100 is also 800mbps/sec

Well, seeing as M$ has included support for firewire natively in XP, but not USB 2.0, I'd venture to guess that firewire will be the prevailing technology, sooner or later.
