Taking the A+ tests
If anyone cares, I'm taking the A+ certification tests tomorrow back to back. Has anyone else recently taken them since they went adaptive? I've been working on computers for about 9 years so HOPEFULLY I won't have any troubles passing it. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I worked at compUSA so I didn't have to pay for the tests which was a good thing. I got mine a couple months before the adaptive part, but one of my coworkers told me of his experience with the adaptive part.
With adaptive you have to remember that the test can take a very short period of time my friend answered them all correctly and was done in less than a half hour. Take the time to answer the questions correctly, since you dont have to deal with the number of questions I had to take. Remember there is no going back to a question. Take your time and answer everything to the best of your ability.
You should do fine with the test as long as you know your stuff. You may want to look at a couple braindumps beforehand, but remember the people remembering the test could have gotten the question wrong so check it yourself to be sure.
Good luck hope to hear you are now A+ certified.

I took the adaptive tests but before the tests were redefined for content. I was the first person at the testing center to take the adaptive and I finished both tests in under ten minutes each. In my opinion, the adaptive tests were much easier if you know your stuff.

Took the tests and passed them about 2 months ago. As long as you know your stuff, you should do well. They aren't bad. Just remember, get the first question right, it is one of the most important. In the hardware test, no the locations by shape and where they "should" be, the diagrams are misleading. Software side, just know all your boot ups. I really prefer the adaptive tests, they are done so much faster, and I find them easier as well.
