Ok, I just passed the A+ tests yesterday, so I'm now officially ertified. I'll tell ya, I was really suprised at the test, because it wasn't based so much on what they tought, but there was definatly some realworld experience necessary to pass the exams. Anyways, yippie for me! Now I can go get that damn raise!
They must have changet the test a lot since I took it 3 years ago. It dealt with nothing but what was in the books (most of which we all know was wrong).
Congrats Quiet Thunder... Yeah, about half of the questions are in a "real world" environment. I had 2 questions on Internet Explorer that weren't covered in the book. They bill it as an entry level exam, but if you only had 6 months experience, even with the classroom, you probably couldn't pass it. I got my A+ cert in January and now I'm waiting on the red tape to clear to get my Compaq certs as I've already passed their tests. Now if I could only get a raise...........
