Accredited Compaq Technician Program ?
Accredited Compaq Technician Program:
Any thoughts from you guys on this Certification?
How valubale is it, in the industry?
It's an expensive one. Is there any material out there (course material that Compaq uses in it's course?

Let's just say it is a mixed bag. If you are going to work for a Compaq related employer it is almost required. It is required if you are a self maintainer as I am apart of. I will say that if you are going to take the class make sure your employer is paying for it. I found the class to be lacking, but the class at the time was only 5 days long. It has greatly improved. I have also taken the ASE training which lacked even more. Bottom line, make sure someone else is paying for it.

By the way, I recommend Sybex study material for anything and everything (including cooking if there is one). The material I received in class was of course directed towards the exam, but I have found Sybex to be right on the money for Net+ as well as CCNA <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

Thanks for the Input. Good advice, if I do persue Compaq... I'll let my employee foot the bill.
