    Post Best MCSE books?

I'm looking to get certified but I have no intention of sitting in a classroom. What are some of the better MCSE 2000 book sets?

    Hi Zxsaint,

I generally use Microsoft Press Books.

These are written generally by experience and well versed people. This is important as you need to understand what you are reading.

Searching for MCSE Book on Amazon.com or on Microsofts Web Site in the MS Press Area.

Hope this helps and good luck with your Certification.

I've got to agree. For the NT tests, I used Sybex and some others. But so far for the W2K exams, I haven't found any other sources that seem to match the actual exams. I'd stick with the MS books.

The Microsoft Press books are the best that I have seen. If you are looking for books you can save quite a bit buying them through bookpool. They sell all computer related books at a good price.

    Here is a link

I'll go with the Microsoft set then. Thanks to all for the advice.

I personally like the Sybex books.

If you have a Costco card, they sometimes have the MCSE Core set by Sybex SUPER cheep. I think I paid about $75 for the 4 volume NT4 set, the books are normally about $50 each!
