Unhappy Pioneer DRM-1804X 18 disc changer Win9x/NT drivers wanted

    Hi!
I hope somebody can help me...

I just got the DRM-1804 disc changer.

I need drivers for Win9x and Windows NT 4.0 to transform all 18 disc slots into seperate CD-ROM devices so that I have access to all discs.

    Please help...

    With kind regards

    Timm

Every disc changer I've always put in, did it automatically. I never had to use a driver. But, I never put in an 18 disc changer.

Your CD changer has a SCSI-2 interface, so all you need is the correct 9x/NT drivers for your SCSI card.

If you need DOS/Win3.x drivers and other info, you can get them here:

I found more info for you.

You will need the DOS driver that you can find at the above link. BUT... to make your drive work with Win9x, read this FAQ:

    Question

But if I use DOS drivers I will not have long filenames, right?

Using a DOS driver for your CD-ROM will not prevent Windows from displaying long file names. Click the above link and read Pioneer's instructions on making your CD drive work with Win95.
