Talking Is it neccessary to upgrade to W98 from W95 for DVD playback?

I currently use windows 95 and will be purchasing a Pioneer DVD-Rom drive, and I have been informed that for better playback I need windows 98, is this true or false? or will a mpeg card do the trick?

    advice much appreciated

    thanks in advance

MPeG Card wil do just fine.

DVD Drives such as the Creative DXR kits where available before win98 was released.

If Win98 was so much better for DVD then why did MS leave out the DVD player that is mentioned in the WIn98 help files. Do a check in teh Win98 help and see.
