[RESOLVED] IDE CD-Rom
Trying to get an IDE CD Rom to work, but receive "CDR101: Not ready" error. I am booting from a clean floppy, and the system seems to correctly identify the drive, and load MSCDEX (v2.25) - but that's as far as I get - and I've run out of ideas. This is a brand new drive, and I have tried switching the cables, changing IDE channels, and switching with the HDD. Any new ideas would be most welcome!!

Sounds like your new cd-rom may be jumpered incorrectly. Check the manual. If you have it as a slave to your Primary HDD, ensure it is set as so.
