Post Windows 2000 Profiles on / off the network

    Hi

I have 2 laptop which work fine on the network. When using the machine away from the office I ask the user to shutdown and restart (without network connection) and login as if still in the office.

Sometimes it refuses to login ...

Isnt this cached and if so why work sometimes and then stop working for no visible reason ??

    cheers

What does it give for message. Are you using dhcp and are you set to log on to domain?

When you try to log on click options and log onto appears use the drop down to select the 2k domain not the net domain.

It is possible that your kerberos authentication isn't working so it defaults to the ntlm for nt and of course there is no nt domain to authenticate.
