Question IE 6.0 freezing 5-10 seconds on popups

IE 6.0 freezing 5-10 seconds on popups.
After that popup is opening and everything is normal.
This happens everytime with a page with popup.
Im using Win2k P2-350 with 256Mb RAM.
Is there a way to solve that ?
Thanks by now.

IE6 works fine. You shouldn't need to go back to IE5...

You might try going to Add/Remove Programs...Select Micro$oft IE 6...then Select Repair. Hopefully, it will solve your problems. Also, you might check WindowsUpdate for, you guessed it...Updates.

If it just hangs on popups and then takes off OK, it might not even classify as a problem. It could just be waiting for your system to catch up. I have seen some of the lower tech video cards (with less than 8MB onboard RAM) hose things up also. But I'm assuming (and you know what happens when I do that) that with your system, you probably have a nice video card.

Sorry I couldn't help out more...let us know how it ends up. Good Luck!

As DonJ said, it might be waiting for your system. You said you are running w2k on a PII 350, which should run just fine, but it may be a "little" heavy for a 350 to handle. Try the update thing.

Try using Adaware and scan for any spyware on your system. www.lavasoftusa.com
