    Resolved [RESOLVED] Bus Mastering IDE controllers & CD-R/W HW

    I recently installed a Memorex 4224 CD-R/W and have had problems with creating quality music cd's. Memorex tech support says that the Standard Bus Mastering controllers I have for my HD are incompatible w/any CD-R/W on the market. They suggest I get an uninstall utility and then let my Win 98 install a new (compatible) driver(s). Does anyone know where I get such a utility?

    What brand motherboard, do you have?
    Do you still have the drivers that came with the motherboard?
    Is Windows 98 a clean install or an upgrade, and if so from what operating system and version?
    An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.
