    Post playing dvd on cdrom

    i am wondering if my SiS multimedia motherboard is equipped to accept dvd movie input from my cdrom or do i need a dvd player to play a dvd movie. excuse my utter ingnorance but i am just learning this stuff.
    Can playing dvd movies be accomplished by loading a dvd driver for the multimedia sys. i have now?

    You defineatly need a DVD player to view DVD media.
    An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

    Depending upon the capabilities of your video card, you might also need an MPEG board. You will also need player software.
