Resolved [RESOLVED] SoundBlaster Proprietary CD-ROM Installation in Win95

I am trying to do a clean install of Win95 using a SB16 sound card with proprietary CD-Rom. All of the driver installation programs use windows already. How can I set up the CD-ROM before installing Windows? I need the cd-rom to use the Windows CD.

My guess is that you will have to at least install DOS 6.x, then the DOS sound card drivers (which should enable the CD controller), then install the CD-ROM driver. It seems like a pain, but such is the nature of proprietary CD-ROM drives.

If it's at all possible, try to find a cheap IDE CD-ROM drive (even an old used one) and save yourself a lot of time and effort.
