webserver
This may not be the right place for this, however, I am a junior tech with repair, upgrade and new system setup. I now am considering building a web server, and would like to start hosting websites. What would be the recommended OS, and where can I find information on where to start, and whatever else is involved in such a business
Thanks in advance to any replies

Linux. Clustered if you can do it. If you don't know it enough now's the time
Especially if you want to save on OS costs, ensure reliability, improve security and firewalling.

I use a 2k box running <a href="http://www.imatix.com/" target="_blank">xitami</a> behind an old 486 which works as a <a href="http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Firewall-HOWTO.html" target="_blank">Linux firewall</a> over my BT HomeHighway connection.
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up
