Win2k as DHCP server
I have a number of machines running various win OS's, but my main station connects to the net via a NTL cable modem (UK). NTL only provide 1 IP address. I installed win2k on a spare machine last night, and need to know if it is possible to set this up as a gateway for the other machines to access the net. If it's possible, can anybody tell me how to do it?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, its very possible and if you got to support.microsoft.com you can get tech files out the wazo....
www.technet.com is also a good place to look.
Make sure you know what you want to do first. As in you want to do DNS? DHCP? WINS? RAS? VPN? look all of them up first before you start. Oh and the NSA.gov has some good documents on how to lockdown a 2k network.

Thanks fubarian - I have some learning to do, as I'm unfamiliar with win2k, but I will start by looking up the links you provided when I get home from work.
Cheers,

Thanks for the help and url's folks - I settled for installing Winroute on the win2k machine. Took me a couple of hours to reconfigure the network and get it working, but it's working fine now. Also took a ghost image of the server in case I need to reinstall - It will only take me 5 minutes.
Thanks again.
