Thanks so much to all the people who helped me out in finding drivers for my HP Pavilion
6540C . But I still have a doubt about changing my hard drive formatted FAT32 to NTFS . During the upgrade setup from Windows
98SE to Windows 2000 Pro, it asks you if you wish to change your FAT32 to NTFS .
I'm not doing a dual boot between Windows 98
and Windows 2K . I'm going to replace all my drive C with Windows 2000 . Not a partition or dual boot . My question is : If I change
from FAT32 on Windows 98 and I adopt NTFS
from Windows 2000 during the setup...if things go wrong after installation....Could I
reinstall my WINDOWS 98SE from the RECOVERY CD that Hewlett-Packard provided me .
They say that if I change from FAT32 to NTFS
the recovery CD won't be recognized because
I'm trying to install an OS whose format is
FAT32 . That means I couldn't go back
to Windows 98 if I want to .
Windows 2000 works better using NTFS than
FAT32 . But that thing has stopped me of
upgrading.....Are the HP claims about this subject true???
Thanks so much for all your help .
