Does anyone here use an abit hot rod 100 card with win2k?
For the life of me, I can't get Win2K installed every since I put in my abit hot rod 100 card. Does anyone here have this combination? Every time I try to install it I get a hive error c000016 or something dumb. I KNOW* it's the hot rod card, but I need it for now. Is there a certain combination of hot rod bios and drivers i need to use?
As a last resort, I'm pretty sure I could take it off the card, install Win2K on the drive, then move it back on the card, but i'm too lazy. Highpoint says it's compatible with win2k, and tell you how to do the F6 to load 3rd party drivers during install, but it just won't go.
Much appreciated.

hi there , dont know specificly RE: your card but ......i just loaded my machine as a duel boot (1 drive) leaving ME on it ,,,,I was and intended to use my PROMISE ATA100 card ,,,but no matter what drivers I threw at it (on F6) it would not have it.(i had just downloaded the prom 2k drivers + unpacked them on to a floppy)
I had to start it up THEN install the drivers + move my cable over.
maybe your probs are like mine , set it up then change the cable.
good luck
freddy
