 Opinions on virus scanners for win2k pro....
Can anyone suggest a really stable anti-virus scan for win2k pro, that is really good in detecting virii?
Because i have already tried avp and it is stuffed on my comp!

Norton AV 2001. No problems here whatsoever even with it running constantly.

My computer came with Mc-Crappy VirusScan, but that was on ME, and I need a scanner for 2000...what has held me back from spending the extra money is I haven't had time, and, does anyone really get viruses anyway? Unless you're stupid enough to open up an EXE attached to an email..LOL

Insanemonkey, hate to be doggin' ya but you CAN get email viri without opening attachments. The Kakworm virus is a prime example (and an extremely annoying one to get rid of if you don't know how).
I make a lot of money off of people who think they don't need to get or update antivirus software.

I just said that because it comes with every computer and they charge so much to get updates...what other worse experiences have you had?
I think I better go out and [thinks of moderators watching] *BUY* a copy.

McAfee screws more machines up than Norton in my store, and a lot of people around here dis Norton for screwing machines up. I've had better luck with PC-Cillen and Panda antivirus myself.

Weare using Nortons AV 2001 corprate here without any problems yet. Have it set to check updates 62 times a month. Runs nice and sweet without taking too many resorces.
But I am running 390Mb Ram.
It was like that when I got here!_ _ _ ___ _ _ _ pig's a$$.

Chalk up another vote for Norton 2001. No problems here. (Also links with System Works and Firewall...a very good overall package if you've got the money to drop on all of that.)

Norton 2001. You can take as much or as little control as you want to configure it and keep the definitions up to date.

I have a problem with nav2001, becuz i only have 64megs ram and a pentium 2, it HOGS UP A HELL OF A LOT OF MEM!
So can anyone suggest another one?

guess what is more protected ?
both are good anti-viruses..
only norton is better..
