[RESOLVED] Win 2000 Pro, I need advices on security...
I'm curently trying to build a comfiguration for Win 2000 Pro at my office and I need to implement some good security to prevent user from installing useless program such as Icq ,Mirc or everything else that doesn't belong. I readed a lot and didn't find a clear solution on this problem. People always say : "Look at the local security settings" but there is no option that could do that. My point is that even is I give only an account standard user right the man will still be able to install Mirc in his personnal directory and run it! I tried to implement security in the registry but it doesn't really help for program such as Mirc ! I don't know if there is a solution but what I need to do is to allow users to install nothing on the computer without my approval.
Input are welcome

My suggestion would be to use poledit and create a system policy.

One point about policies: make sure that you don't restrict yourself! That would be just horrible!
