I am having a problem browsing the LAN and the internet at the same time

I am running two different connections on my WIN2K pc. One for the LAN with private IP addressing 192.168.... and one for internet usage over a DSL connection with a different adapter, address, subnet. It seems when one is enabled, the other connection does not work. How do I resolve this to were both connections are working well at the same time without disabling one connection so that the other may work.

thanks for the reply. the problem was a gateway address in the lan settings. I removed the address to allow all non-local packets to be sent to the dsl connection and everything turned out okay.
