[RESOLVED] Service Pack 2
I have installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 like five times and it keep up damaging my windows 2000. When I install it completely everything is fine when it reboots it doesnt want to boot from my Windows 2000 partition and I have to repair the OS to get it to work again. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with the Service Pack or am I doing something wrong????

What are your hardware spec's? It might be a conflict with something. Make sure that before you update that you have the latest drivers for everything. Also check for a bios update.

Golden rule: Service Packs don't fix pc problems. If you have ANY problem with a pc/server, don't apply a service pack unless you have first resolved the problem.

Everytime I build a PC I service pack it: never had any issue with that.
It doesn't fix problem??? I don't know what you are talking about. That's mainly the reason why microsoft comes up with sps...to fix the bugs they haven't caught!

I'm not talking MSOS, I'm talking hardware. SP's don't fix problems indicated in the device manager for example, like IRQ conflicts or driver problems. (This might be obvious to you, but to many others it's not).
